1. Road trip for a good cause, and a great run!
Fountain Lake 5 Mile Run / Tiger Trot 5k
The Tiger Trot 5K is the Annual Fundraiser for Southwest Middle School sharing the beautiful lake route for part of the race raising funds to support student experiences and activities… during the school year. Runners and walkers will start on Richway Drive and turn left through beautiful residential neighborhoods. They will follow the lake for the second part of the course until they reach Brookside for the finish line.
2. Walk a Pop-Up Plaza – family friendly!
Pop-up Park | WAM Plaza
During the last weeks of the spring semester, the museum’s student group, WAM Collective, will turn the museum’s front plaza into a temporary park. Inspired by the pavement-to-park movement and in conjunction with the museum’s exhibition Feast: Radical Hospitality in Contemporary Art, the aim of the park is to “shift perspectives and spark encounters that aren’t always possible within a fast-moving and segmented society.”

Food and Farm weekend.
Grow it, Raise it, Preserve it, Prepare it Get back to the basics and learn new skills with this all- inclusive weekend focused on the most elemental of our needs and pleasures: Food. Over the weekend, choose from a variety of expert led on-site workshops on gardening, cooking and food preservation, off-site field trips to local farms and meet farmers who are growing produce and raising animals naturally and organically, and enjoy engaging evening presenters.
4. Bike art.
Can you remember the joy of your first bicycle ride? The varied roads, paths, and terrains of Minnesota are filled with savvy innovations by cyclists who draw on an appetite for riding. Join us in celebrating the bicycle-related work of regional designers, builders, and collectors.
5.Make a list. Seriously.
Fill a jar with a list of the parks and trails you want to explore this Spring and Summer.
