4/23 -The Weekend Top 5

1. Road trip for a good cause, and a great run!

Unleash the She 5K and 10K takes place in Rochester on Sunday

Unleash the SHE teams up with the Minnesota Ovarian Cancer Alliance to make a difference for hundreds of women and families impacted by ovarian cancer. Ovarian cancer is the most lethal gynecologic cancer and a leading cause of cancer-related death in women. The survival rate has barely improved since the “War on Cancer” was declared over 40 years ago. Due to the lack of an early detection test, over 80% of ovarian cancer is diagnosed in the late stages. For these reasons, increased awareness and advocacy are critical.

 2. Learn how to Fly Fish

Afton State Park – April 25 – 10-3 p.m.

In the afternoon you’ll pick up new tips and tricks on how to cast more accurately. If conditions permit we will fish on the St. Croix River. A park vehicle permit is required. Register at 651-231-6968.
