2. Tour de Save

Saturday, August 1

Riverside Park, Northfield

Join the Cannon Valley Velo Club for the annual 12th Tour de SAVE bike ride through the beautiful country side surrounding Northfield, MN. There are several routes available for everyone. Choose from one of four ride distances. The 10-mile route is perfect for the casual rider and families, the 25-mile route will offer a bit more distance, while the 62-mile route will offer challenging hills and beautiful vistas and the gravel road ride offers a challenging option to the road. SAVE’s mission is to prevent suicide through public awareness and education, reduce stigma, and serve as a resource for those touched by suicide.



3. Big Brothers/ Big Sisters 5k

Saturday, August 1

Fort Snelling, Saint Paul

Throw on your sneakers and run/walk for a great cause on Saturday, August 1st at picturesque Fort Snelling Park! Enjoy the views and natural beauty, all while getting in a bit of exercise. The 5K will start at 9:30 a.m., with check-in beginning at 8:30 a.m. The race will end in the same location as the Big Brothers Big Sisters Annual Picnic, and all 5K participants are invited to stay and enjoy free food and games!


4. Chocolate Frolic 10k

Saturday, August 1

Appleton, WI

Love chocolate? This run is for you! The Chocoholic Frolic 5k/10k is coming to Appleton, Wisconsin and it’s fun for all! Are you competitive? The 5k and 10k are chip timed and you will be rewarded with chocolate at the finish line. Just want to take your sweet time? Run, jog, or walk your way through these courses and enjoy two chocolate stops along the way from VandeWalle’s Candies! At the finish line you will be greeted with melted chocolate with treats for dipping and Rebecca’s Sweets Boutique will be providing double chocolate cupcakes at the finish line! Each participant will receive a pullover hoodie, race tote, and a Chocoholic Frolic Finisher Bar.


5. Como Park Cross Country Relay

Saturday, August 1

Como Park, Saint Paul

This series of races (which began in 1974) are a great way to get in shape and improve your fitness. All level of runners are encouraged to compete and have fun. If you do not have a partner, just show up early and we will find you one. Help make the 2015 relays the biggest and best ever!
